Family Rafting

Family whitewater rafting has become increasingly popular in the last few years. Rafting is a perfect excuse to step away from our phones and distractions for a minute, and to laugh and be present with each other. Kids and parents have a great time on our rafting trips, and we are absolutely convinced that families that have rafted together have become more bonded, more tightly knit, and can share their whitewater memories with each other for a lifetime. All of our rivers are great for families, depending on water levels and ages and swimming ability of the kids. On most rivers that we run, we have very generous youth rates, with “youth” being 17 years old or younger. Please see each river trip detail page for pricing.

Family Special — Kids 35% off Kings river trips.

On weekday (Monday-Thursday) 1 and 2-day trips on the Kings river, each child 17 years and younger, when accompanied by an adult at full rate, will raft for 35% off the adult rate. To qualify, each child must be matched with a full paying adult. This discount does not apply to charter groups already receiving a group discount.

Also…

Families with a child (or children) too young to actually raft can bring along a “nanny” to stay with the child while the rest of the family rafts.  Our Kings base camp is an ideal place to “hang out” during the day until the rest of the family returns to camp around 5:00 p.m.  If a nanny is not available, one parent can stay in camp with the child while the other parent rafts. On day 2, parents can switch allowing the other parent to raft. The cost per non rafting adult is $85.00, which includes 2 nights camping and 5 meals.  The entire family can then be together for dinner, the evening slide show (showing YOU rafting!), camping, and breakfast.  Also, kids 5 and younger are free!  Bring the entire family whitewater rafting and the memories will shine for years to come.
